Bathroom Remodel South Everett

A primary bathroom held together by a single repeated shape — arched mirrors, an arched niche, an arched opening — set against dark green tile in the wet zone and pale stone everywhere else.

The idea

One shape, repeated four times

The arch appears in the mirrors, in the shower niche, in the opening between the vanity and the wet zone, and again in the alcove. Four times, at four different scales, in a room that is otherwise made of straight lines.

Repetition is what turns a motif into a scheme. One arch is a feature; four is the reason the room reads as designed rather than decorated. Curved openings also have to be framed and finished long before anything decorative happens — the shape is structural before it is visual.

Every trade on this build was carried out by licensed professionals working under contract with Anyvision, and permitted under WA Lic #ANYVIHR768KB.

Two Heads, One Wet Zone

Two shower positions share one enclosure, each with its own controls, so neither person is adjusting temperature for both.

Two simultaneous outlets need supply capacity established at rough-in. It is not a fitting that can be added to an existing shower without opening the wall.

Lit From Inside the Wall

The arched niche is lit by a concealed strip inside the reveal rather than by anything aimed at it from the ceiling.

Low-voltage in a wet zone means the driver sits outside the bathroom entirely and the run is planned at first fix. Retro-fitting it means chasing a finished tiled wall.

Dark Where It Is Wet

Dark green tile is confined to the wet zone; everything outside it — walls, floor, alcove — stays pale.

Colour is doing the zoning that a wall would otherwise do. The room stays open, and the eye still reads two distinct areas.

The Vanity Run

A long wood vanity with twin basins holds the warm side of the palette against the cool floor and the dark tile beyond.

Sconces sit between the mirrors rather than above them, which puts light on the face from the side instead of casting it downward from overhead.

Vertical Stack, Not Brick Bond

The green tile is stacked vertically rather than laid in a running bond, so the joints line up in continuous columns from floor to ceiling.

A stacked pattern is far less forgiving than a brick bond — every joint has to align with the one above it across the full height, with nothing to disguise a drift of a millimetre or two.
